Excellent, be nice to see you Paul, and Tim too if he decides to come along (with M in tow?). I have booked the TXD in for sphere regassing next Tuesday, so I shan't be spending on new LHM i'm afraid as it's £25 per corner plus VAT. Good job I get paid on Friday

Franklin, could you procure something older and hydraulic to come in? We all like seeing nice citroens :D

Lovely weather, lovely people and lovely location. Quite a pleasant day all in all, a very large thank you to Barry for hosting, and for his advice and tool use with my brakes. Also a very big thank you to Sandre for putting me up Friday night, at such short notice!

There may be comments about childish driving and so on from Mark/Paul in the direct of Sandre and myself - I say take no notice! We only did a ton along that very long straight (albeit bumpy, patched, holy and wet in places) road to the campsite, and it was very very fun. BX TD's are rather fun to drive, even standard ones :D The drive home was not so pleasant, I left the pub at quarter past nine just outside of Bourne, and got home at half 1 - I was fine until I hit J15 of the m25, as from here on it is all very familiar to me. The 125 miles I used to do regularly so went into auto-mode, and kept getting drowsy.

Will there be a next tech weekend?? It is a very valuable experience for the DIY BXer IMO, you learn so much - even if you feel confident enough to do stuff, there are always different/better/quicker ways of doing said stuff that is only gleaned from experience. So worth making an effort for, although perhaps there could be ways to make it more attractive for the host of the event? Even if it's only a fiver/tenner contribution each for the hosts time.

I'm wondering if the Westons would be interested in hosting one? I enjoyed Catsinthewelder's event last year very much, but I imagine there are major benefits to doing it at a specialist - we can always find a campsite nearby I'm sure. Perhaps not on a Bank Holiday weekend though!

I certainly hope so, especially as I've not been able to make it to ANY yet! I'd like to hold one up here - we'd struggle to accommodate huge numbers but should be OK with the sort of turnout that seems typical. Time to start earning brownie points...

Not sure if they would - they don't exactly have much space round there, but if so there's a camp site a couple of hundred yards up the road.
