Citroen BX hatchback turbo diesel 'L' Reg £2500

Post by V1ckst3r »

Registration letter 'L' (1993?)
Racing Green
39000 genuine miles from new with one careful owner
Well looked after
Completely rust free but there is some paintwork damage and denting to the front nr side wheel arch - I have a pic if req'd. There is also a small dent low down on the rear side panel off side - again, pic available if required.
MOT'd this year with a new battery fitted in January. Tax until the end of June.

Inside condition good. Electric windows, hidden radio and runs like a dream :-)

I have more pics so let me know if you're interested!

Cheers,

Vicki

Wow! A TZD estate with super low mileage...worth every penny I think buy I'm sure others may disagree.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

While it's the most expensive estate I've seen for a long time, it's also the lowest mileage diesel estate I've seen in a long time.

If someone's after one of these for long term ownership without a major rebuild down the line this will be worth a look at least.

I'm, only guessing !

But as Vicki's Nan had it from new and if purchased from a local Citroen garage to where she lives (And shes not moved about the country) using the last two characters of the vehicle Reg. L741 JMJ this should be in the Luton AREA !

However I may be completely wrong :?

Nice BX TZD Turbo estate 8) your selling of your Nans Vicki , good luck with the sale I'm sure it will sell fairly quickly !

That is a lovely looking car! Well worth it in my eyes, if it is in Luton I'd be more than happy to go and view it and take pics of key spots.

That site is very interesting RxBX, I didn't know that MJ was a Luton plate as mine is BMJ and from a dealership in Watford.

Does look very good and genuine but I'd be surprised if it was really completely rust free.

I suppose it depends on when it was used and where it was kept the rest of the time. If it wasn't used on salty roads much and was kept in a garage in conditions that allowed it to dry out when wet then it's possible it's rust free.

Hi folks,
Thanks for the posts so far!
My nan lives in Bicester & that's where the car is now.

The dealer was based in Aylesbury & it's always been garaged. It really is her pride & joy & she drove it for the last time yesterday. At 91 she's not afraid to use that turbo! But she's hardly using it these days due to health reasons & it's pointless paying for the tax/insurance etc

I personally washed it yesterday and I can confirm no visible rust. Rust is that orangey-brown stuff, right ;-)
If there's anything else you'd like to know, give me a shout!

Btw, if u look closely at the pics you'll see her sat in the drivers seat lol

it must have had a roof extention so it could be fitted with an estate tail gate

as the title says its a hatchback

is there any rust underneath, chassis rails, under the boot floor, front inner wheel arch's, under the washer bottles in the scuttle?????

it does look a very smart car non the less

Hey, I don't profess to know anything about cars, so forgive my ignorance! My nan knows way more about 'em than I do...
And I haven't looked underneath coz I don't know what I'm looking at or for, but anyone is welcome to come and check it out :-)

I'd love to see how this compares to my 307,000 mile BX of the same model and age!

You might want to cast your net a bit wider with potential buyers. Most of us already have one (or more). Carandclassic is free and can get good results.

..that_
Yeah, we'll discuss whether prices are too high or too low all day ( ), but historically the forum has never been a place to sell top price cars. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for close to the asking price if you are prepared to wait a little for the right buyer to come along - they'll be out there somewhere! A lot of people go crazy for low mileage...but proof is all important.
