Re: 2013 CCC NATIONAL RALLY! GET YOUR CAMPING PRE-BOOKED!!
Apparently it's "free for all" camping, so would be grateful if those who arrive early could save space for the rest of us who will be trailing in your wakes/coming MUCH later (Mat, me, possibly Jane - not sure what time you're getting there - who else?) - so we're all together (not in the altogether mind, whatever the weather, that would be just too horrible to contemplate).

Will do Sandre. Tim and myself will do our best Gruppenfuhrer routine. Although I suspect it will degrade into 'Allo-Allo' levels of ineptitude!!

Camping booked. I've only booked for one tent though in the hope that I can bribe Nath to sleep in the car. We'll be there about lunch time on Saturday.
No cake either sorry, I can't cope with baking in this heat.

Please note you book your camping space through Wicksteed Park...not me, as some of the FCF people have tried too!

All booked and ready for the off. Just collected a fresh bottle of gas for BXClub HQ. Need to give said HQ a wash and Hoover and the same for the XM. I've been given a disposable BBQ so that's Saturdays tea sorted.

Re: 2013 CCC NATIONAL RALLY! GET YOUR CAMPING PRE-BOOKED!!
Is there a flyer or similar somewhere with more verbose details than the first posting?
I've had a look around and even what little i can access on the CCC website is very sparse on detail.
Reading back it seems to be running from sometime friday evening until sometime on sunday. Camping available. Campsite is some distance from the 'show ground'. Show ground entrance will be manned and stickers will be affixed to the passenger side of the windscreen.
After that, i'm at a bit of a loss.
Is there an auto jumble? Are the usual spread of 'show and shine' competitions going ahead? What time will they be judged through? What time with the results be announced? Is there any particular arrangement for the show ground as in some previous years?
If i make it i will probably only be coming on the Sunday, debating whether to bring the valver or the company hack (for comfort), and would like to catch the main attendance which usually peters out after the competition results.
So if anyone could fill me in with more details (ideally with greater than 6 syllable answers), and perhaps update the first post on this thread, i'd be very grateful.
I'll go see if they know any more over on FCF.

Re: 2013 CCC NATIONAL RALLY! GET YOUR CAMPING PRE-BOOKED!!
Vanny,
I don't understand your last post but to make it clear,
The event starts officially on Saturday morning and closes Sunday at 5, but you can stay on the site if you want before or after if you book your camp space.
There will be the usual traders (no extra charge to them either) and people selling stuff out there boot, Sunday it will be the AGM people's concours and raffle prizes.
This year it's very relaxed as there's so much else to see on the park we have left Saturday as a unorganised day to let you do what you like,

Will the CCC be selling any 'merchandise' at the National? I could do with a CCC rear window sticker for the XM.

So relaxed there is no timings for anything?
So if i turn up at 6am on Sunday, i can pay on the gate, and drive in?
Evidently if there is no plan to have the AGM Concours at a particular time, i'll just leave when ever. No point in hanging around until 5pm.

Re: 2013 CCC NATIONAL RALLY! GET YOUR CAMPING PRE-BOOKED!!
Theres nothing on officially on Saturday as such no. You can turn up at 6am if you like as the gates should open then, I imagine most will be asleep (inc myself) but would ask you to let the gate staff know you are here etc when they surface.
On Sunday the AGM is at 11:30am in the events hall which is a short walk from the rally field, the concours is self judging, the forms will be put under windscreen wipers and Sunday morning then collected later on. The concours awards time is 2pm on the Sunday and the raffle afterwards so should all be done and dusted by 4pm.
Obviously Nigel Wild has a tendency to change things at the last minute....even though I am events organiser apparently lol

I don't think Nigel would let even the Queen run things her own way. I don't envy your predicament!
