Good weekend indeed. Well done to those that did from those of us that didn't!
Sorry I slunk off prematurly without saying goodbye to everyone. Should be a little healtheir by Stratford to really enjoy the carnage!

So then, Tim, where is happening next year?
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

No idea yet Chris......its been suggested we do the same again but I do prefer variety!

Any suggestions welcomed but it must have camping on site and be central location.

Yep great show - caught up with various mates, found some rear seatbelts for the GS, then spent the rest of my cash at the Lockwood Emporium stocking up on service items - he's even started bringing more stuff out like early air filters now!

I think we caught him out at the X Rally though - apparently he's only ever brought out 1 round BX air filter as the demand is so low, then I came up and asked for one a few minutes after you'd bought one. He actually told me he'd made a special effort to bring a couple extra this time, and I still bought the last one he had!

It's the spice of life. Central is good, somewhere near a motorway network is good too. Kettering isn't too bad I guess, but there is no direct and rapid way to get there

Brilliant weekend. :-) Thanks to all for lifting my spirits. 'Twas much appreciated.

Spent the evening chatting to Steve Walsh ( Northern Section webmaster ) about starting up a NW group.

Then enjoyed a run out in his C6 for fish n chip supper and yet MORE cidre!! Typically, it was a stunningly sunny and hot morning-after the event!!

Chatted to Nigel about the finer engineering merits of GMC six wheeled RV's.

Popped into Newark to see Paul and take in the sights, namely Newark Castle, as it was the only place that afforded some shade from the blazingly hot sun. We then migrated back to Paul's abode for tea and I had a blast on Paul's brothers Yamaha FZR 1000 EXUP.

Then it was homeward bound, up the A1 and across the top of the Pennines via the M62.
Always a wonderful journey at this time of year, as one is driving towards the setting sun.

Finally home around 11pm. Fresh, giant pretzel and hummus for supper and as I type these very words, I'm watching the ICCCR DVD ( many, many thanks Sandre ).

Here's to the next rally, CXM hopefully. :-)
