C421FBA - Believed to be the only (RHD) BX 16RS Leader in existence, rescued from a sorry state by myself at the beginning of 2012, after a lot of welding the floor pan and new sills she was MOT'd in October 2012
One owner from 1986-2012 then came to myself via a well known Citroen Collector.
Unfortunately since the arrival of my Daughter I no longer have the time to use my BX, in fact I've only clocked up 400miles in my ownership and lack of storage space dictates I need to reduce my 'fleet' from 4 vehicles down to 2!
She fires up first turn of the key and has no real faults or problems - being honest the only temperamental thing is the blowers only work on maximum!
To be a 100% Purist the car requires:
1) a bit of stitching on the passenger seat base (the material isn't damaged in any way just the sewing has come un-stitched)
2) Steering Column Plastics (due to some lowlife scumbag in a failed twoc - no damage to ignition/steering components etc)
3) Rear wiper motor is slow, probably just wants freeing off with ludicrous amounts of WD40!
non of these effect the cars use in any way, its just things I never got round to finishing off before winter set in and the little one arrived!
I'm asking for £595 (ono) which I think is a fair price considering its got a valid MOT and the amount of work done to get it back on the road.
Feel free to make me an offer. Car is located in Middlesbrough, Teesside. I am 110% confident the car would drive to the other end of the earth and back, I *COULD* even deliver it but you'd best ask and I'd have to check for a permission slip with the better half!

Thats a fair price considering the 'Extra Work' you've done to the vehicle !
Good luck with the sale I'm sure it should find a new home quickly being a Mk1

That car has got to be worth more than 595! As Kitch mentioned on FB I'd definitely ebay it - you might be surprised. Good luck with the sale anyway - it looks like a great car.

With mk1s commanding strong money these days (didn't Tom pay a grand for that GT?) I really think you're undervaluing that one mate. I think I'd be going for 995 with that one personally, but I also think if you get some decent pictures and spend some time on the write up you might get into four figures on eBay.

Yes she is still using it, the Red Baron has just had a new headgasket and cambelt kit so it's good for a few more years yet!

Re: For Sale: '86 BX 16RS Leader, Good Condition, MOT'd, 66
Damn, I have always fancied this BX! I do want a 16 at one point in my life (but cannot do so at the moment) and this'd be perfect. However with 2 other BX's that need work...
I agree it's worth way more than £595, especially with all the work carried out. I did indeed buy my GT for just less than 4 figures - the only reason I paid this price though was because of the incredible amount of spares and parts it came with, if it was just the car I would have negotiated it for less, i'm sure.
Good luck with the sale! As others have said, carandclassic is great, i've sold through them before - it's free too!
