For Sale 19RD estate

Post by merlyn »

My friend Denise is reluctantly selling her BX as she would like someone to be able to give it the TLC it deserves, it has been her daily driver for many years and has been well maintained throughout her ownership.

The car is a dark green 19RD estate L reg. MOT Dec 2013, tax Oct 2013. Has 3 new tyres and a new clutch. Apparently it needs a new fork in the gearbox but has a temporary fix and is currently driving well. Has 164k on the clock. The car has been regularly serviced and she describes the bodywotk as average and the interior as "messy".
There is a photo of her car on my blog page parked next to mine on holiday in August last year. We are about to go on holiday again so I could take a few more if required. Denise lives in Ilford but we will be camping near Coalville in Leicestershire from the 9th to the 19th of August if anyone would like to view there.

Denise is looking for £300.

Please inbox me if interested and I will put you in touch.

Can't be an RD on that year. Could be a TXD? Either way its a good price.

I'm just reporting what Denise told me and I'm no expert either! She also posted that the MOT was December and then told me January so I guess it's the end of December.
She would like it to go to a good home, it was her late husband's car and will have been well used and well cared for all its life. She isn't able to give it the care it needs anymore and was hoping that someone on here will give it some TLC. I can confirm that the interior is messy (she has two young boisterous boys, of course it's messy).

I know estates aren't really your thing Tim, but if you're looking for a winter car I doubt you'll find one much cheaper!

Quite agree Mike, however its £300 short of what I have spare right now and its abit early.... I normally put my "best cars" away at the end of October.

And being honest I dont want a estate and would prefer a TD.

You won't get a TD for £300 unless its been well abused, get a n/a instead, they're more fun ;)

Having driven Ms Jones's TD hurricane I do think it will have to be a turbo, and certainly not an estate (sorry).

I'd actually agree with that. They're not quick, but neither is the TD (quicker than the n/a, but still not exactly fast) so you might as well go with the one which enjoys spirited driving more. That'll be the n/a. Closer-stacked gearing, happier to rev and all about maintaining momentum!

Thrashed the arse off the estate last last (full-throttle changes....the works) as I was running late for something (dinner) after work. Was actually quite a giggle
