Does anyone have any plans for a 2014 excursion/adventure?
(I have an idea for something code-named 'The X-Raid' for October 2014.... but it's little more than a name and a scribble on a piece of paper at the moment)
Nothing that I'm aware of Phil. I'm hoping to tour Scotland on the motorbike, but nothing Citroën related.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about Eire.

Ireland is great for old citroens, lots of quiet windey country roads suddenly opening out to an unspoilt one horse town with 4 pubs and amazing Guinness. (Pub:poulation ratio v high) No ale tho . I could help plot a route if there is interest. And camp sites/accom etc

Funny you should mention Ireland - I'm currently connected to the free Wifi at St.Margarets beach campsite at Ladys Island, just outside Rosslare! I've been visiting the parents at Shinrone the last week and discussing options for a trip with them.
While I think it's possible to cover the whole of Ireland in 1 challenge, I don't think we'd actually see much of it, so I'd like to propose a Challenge covering the country south of Dublin, with another covering the rest of the Republic and the north at a future date.
Although I've found the crossings to Rosslare cheaper, the Holyhead to Dublin one is probably more central for everyone to get to. Irish Ferries were offering a 20% discount for early booking in January, plus it may be possible to get a discount for block booking - something I'll be looking into in the next week or 2.
As I believe several Challenge veterans will be at either Stratford or the CXM (or both), can I suggest we discuss it there, or let me know here if it's worth putting together possible routes?

I'll try and get to the CXM Mike. Holyhead to Dublin sounds like a good idea. I'll try and get a crossing from Heysham. Saves fuel, as opposed to driving to Holyhead.
