I nearly forgot. Paul's post reminded me that he muttered something about carpet a while back. Several times. And quite vociferously and quite recently.

So keep those £s coming folks, carpet will finish the stand off just nicely :) - thanking you all.

So ... we have

Des Smith's St Tropez
Paul296's Hurricane
Kitch's valver
Mat's estate
Gary's Meteor

No Mk 1s in there, but the people have chosen (well, some of them anyway) and that's a smashing selection :D Commiserations to all those who didn't get the votes this year - sincerely hope there'll be future years so everyone who wants to put their car on show gets a shot.

Graham, sorry your GT didn't quite make the cut this time. I understand you're quite local to the NEC, as a close runner up would you be willing to be a "reserve" if one of the above cars can't be there after all? - thanks.

Well done gents, I'm still waiting for Clarion to send the full "manual" for exhibitors but trust me, we will sort out the logistics etc - still very nearly 3 months to go anyway :)

While I am here: firstly, £ for carpet.

To save Paul296 the effort:

and secondly and most importantly, if you or your friends are buying tickets (freebies to exhibitors first of course, then we'll see what's left/who wants to volunteer some time on the stand/what days), please quote the club code for a discount - see post in Anything Else forum, and bring your tickets to the stand at the NEC so we can get the credit - which will be a help to our case for a stand in 2014 ... Thanks very much :)

EDIT - image tags fail fixed.

Happy to have made the stand, but a bit concerned at the lack of a mk1. I was going to withdraw my dad's GT as I've uncovered more rust which will slow down the repair process and wouldn't make November. Wish I'd withdrawn as the Gold one would have made it. I know its not been restored or anything but it's the only timewarp car on the forum.

I realise I'm being a knob by questioning a poll! Mind you there were two mk1's last year I suppose.

This year we really need to think outside the box and go for it . . .

I'll echo that one actually. Proud to represent the valvers amongst us!

My first reaction was "Ooooh, there's a fundraising idea" - then I visualised it in my mind's eye.
