No Mk 1s in there, but the people have chosen (well, some of them anyway) and that's a smashing selection Commiserations to all those who didn't get the votes this year - sincerely hope there'll be future years so everyone who wants to put their car on show gets a shot.
Graham, sorry your GT didn't quite make the cut this time. I understand you're quite local to the NEC, as a close runner up would you be willing to be a "reserve" if one of the above cars can't be there after all? - thanks.

Just a thought - I think I've got all the brochures for each of the cars on the stand. Not 100% sure on the St Tropez, but I know I've got Hurricane, Meteor, 16v and the standard one the estates came in. Shall I bring them and pop one in each of the windows? Or copy them and stick laminated versions in or next to the cars?

Laminated would be better so they are less likely to get stolen.

I have laminated copies of the 16v brochure and a couple of the standard ones - don't think I have any of the special ed ones, but will check. I also have a laminator!

Any recommendations on accommodation? Currently pondering whether to bring the estate up with me or not as I'm assuming once the cars are in they're not to be moved! I'll either stay in a travel lodge or similar, or rag it back and forth each night.

I also was wondering whether to stay local or travel , do they charge exhibitors a daily charge for the car park for another car?Kitch wrote:Any recommendations on accommodation? Currently pondering whether I'll either stay in a travel lodge or similar, or rag it back and forth each night.

Yup, you're right Kitch. Cars on display have to remain there until the show ends on the Sunday. IIRC there's a Travelodge type hotel nr the motorcycle museum, just off the M42.

Gary, exhibitors and volunteers receive a number of parking passes, allowing free parking at the NEC. Last year, we had an amusing, 'pass - the - parcel' type ritual with the parking passes.

Re: BXC Stand - NEC 15-18 Nov 2013 - Exhibitors announced!
We get some parking passes as well as free entry passes Gary, and as an exhibitor you'll take priority on freebies EDIT - that's all exhibitors, lost track of posts/cross-posting/getting sidetracked, oops.
I've had the car club manual - it's LONG and I haven't read it all yet, but will start the bun fight on who's getting what as soon as I know what we got. In the meantime, friends and non-immediate family can get a discount on their tickets - see the Anything Else section for the code - and we'd be grateful if they can bring their tickets to the stand so we can claim some credit for 'em, which will help with next year's application!

I was meaning to drag this one up too - I can't find the answer in this thread but do we have electricity on the stand?
I should be able to borrow something like this for the weekend, which without the mesh guards would look less like a building site.
