Thought I'd stick some pics up.....I picked it up last night after my fleabay victory:

It runs and drives very well. All interior electrics work too!

The body needs TLC....the bottom half of the doors have been rust treated, but then badly sprayed....they look dented! There is little rust on the car though.
Rear arm bearings are shagged, and I fear the pump might be a bit lazy....it doesn't tick just seems to constantly pump. The stop light comes on quite alot too.

But overall better than I expected! Very happy so far.

The car deserves to be looked after...I've just been through the service history!

Couldn't resist though:

I took the pics to look at the differences.

The facelift actually changed the overall look of the BX quite alot I reckon, more than I realised.

They look so different, yet so similar! Totally different to sit in though, and the drive is very different too.

Awesome! I'm really glad it's gone to someone on here. I would have snapped that up if I had the space and money.

It was a C-plate Mk 1 19GT which started off my whole love affair with Citroens in the first place...

Sorry Tim - I meant to post and I forgot! Yes, PUY has gone to the father of a member of this site. A real enthusiast, has owned several BXs and (sensibly) decided to go back after owning an XM for a little while.

The new owner promised me he'd get his son to show him how to register... where are you Tony?
