Its a nice looking car, although not on the road and asking 800 quid? I think its more 200-300 quid at best for no tax and test. You never know he may be lucky.

Tim, you say that about any 'Green Blooded' Citroen (Apart from the C5/C6) now, as there been just lost on a regular basis even to keep others going just like in my RECENT posting of the GTi :(

Not really, late Xantias are still in good supply, BX's numbers are in short numbers and "cooking spec" 1.6 petrols especially so, according to how many left there is a total 14 taxed and sorned. Theres quite a few 16TGS meteors about but not just a stock model.

I dont know of anyone on here with a TGS manual hatch?

Quite true, I over looked that one (I maybe should have left out the C5/C6) sorry

But just to mention that's its ONLY the Orange LDS fluid that's needed for the suspension !

So if you got a HP system failure or a suspension pipe burst on the C5/C6s you'd still have you brakes and PAS to get you home or to a garage in comparison to the 'Green Blooded' vehicles (with them only having the one fluid/reservoir) for all the two/three systems (Dependant if fitted with PAS) !

As the C5/C6 braking system uses the standard type of DOT 4 brake fluid also the PAS is different again !

Back O/T good luck to the sale of this TGS if it belongs to forum member, but I think its over priced (As already stated) !

I have one! White, G reg. Although on my documentation it says '16RS' for some reason. Definitely a TGS according to the badge on the car.

My Athena is a TGS, but of course it's a 'special' model. Round me a few years ago there were quite a lot of 16TGS mostly scrapped for the most trivial of faults, like front suspension return leaking (at least 1 was scrapped for this!), octopus, clutch etc. Some binned for no reason except no one wanted them. Great shame and waste, one of the most practical, well balanced and cheap to run petrol models. I note it was also the journos favourite (petrol model) - at least those who actually know/knew something about the cars!.

I was given a 16TGS about 7 years ago, 230000 miles on the clock with a full history, needed a bit of welding for the MOT (door shut) but as it was worthless he offered it free to a good home instead of scrapping it.

It was tatty (in white) but I cleaned it up and got it road legal and it rang for 3 more years, I sold it to a mate who let his sister have it and she just scrapped it when the MOT expired.
