Bugger! Wanted a new BX heater tap

Hi Guys,

I've had a very interesting day!

I was driving along the Red BX 19TRI (with a BX GTI engine) Estate today and all of a sudden there was all of this steam pouring out from under the bonnet.
The language was rather colourful to say the least. I pulled over, switched off and popped the bonnet like a flash!

The bloody heater tap fitting that goes through the bulkhead has snapped off and was p*ssing all over the manifold.

Botched it up with a metal pernament marker and my mums lipstick lid to close the pipes on the tap, refilled it with water and drove for an hour home.


I havee now fixed it with a copper pipe, joining the two hoses and am now in the search for a heater tap.

I know that the stupid things are plastic and hence I am praying that someone will have or know where to get a brand new one. I can no longer get them here in Australia.

I also need the metal heater pipe that runs across the back of rocker cover as it's busted and I cant get that either.



Your help would be great.

If 2nd hand parts will do I have the bits from a 16v if that will help you out and I can get a price for postage - just a beer will do for the actual parts
