Just had to following e-mail. If anybody is interested i have contact details and a picture:
The father of a friend of mine, John Gardiner, a member of the BX owners'
club put me in touch with you. I currently have a G reg Citroen BX 19 TRS
with 104000 miles on the clock that has failed its MOT, and I have to
reluctantly part with it as I'm not really skilled enough to do the repair
work myself although have dabbled. I'd rather send it to someone who could
get good use out of it than send it to the scrapper. If anyone would be
happy to take it, they are most welcome.
It failed its MOT on engine oil leak (potentially contaminating brakes),
bearings in rear radius arm need replacing, and it needs two front brake
hoses. It has been reliable in the 2 or so years that I have had it, and
still drives well. A picture is attached.
Front spheres were done last year, and I did the front brakes at the same
time though they may need doing again.
Ideally I'd like to see it off this week as the tax runs out at the end of
August, but can store it off road for a bit (though it won't be taxed or
MOTed if it is driven in September...)
I hope someone would like it, a picture is attached.
