I suspect they've been made as one-off covers for "cooking-BX" seats. Easy enough to do if you have upholstery experience, I'd imagine, using cloth seat covers as a pattern, and you end up with very comfortable seats that don't rip or wear out like all the herringbone/tweed ones do.

If they're hom-grown this might explain the lack of door cards, though there are matching bolsters, which seems unusual. Would look interesting in an Olympic Blue (metallic) BX!
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

A second look tells me they're definitely home-grown, though quite why the rear seats got reversed and the central armrest transplanted I really don't know!

Easy one this. I reckon that a professional coachtrimmer remade them when the original fabric became tatty. Home made would be a task beyond home sewing machines and the workmanship appears to be very good. Somebody wanting the most comfortable seats trimmed in a way that won't disintegrate like the sixteen valve seats (which often tear their stitching) will have done very well here, and for what they cost, they are a real bargain.

Looks like a piss-proof doggy cover has been home-made and fitted I'd say.

Well Kitch, you might but then you'd be mistaken. True, the photos don't do them justice but they are professionally made. The man who ordered the car that they were fitted to, (a TGD, which explains the pattern) specified leather seats so the dealer had the car delivered to a coachtrimmer first. The TGD was written off some time ago but the owner kept the seats. The coachtrimmer did a first class job because the seats are in extremely good shape and have cleaned up easily. They look wonderful in my car as well, so thanks for all the snide remarks guys; best £30 I've spent in a long time :D

Nothing intentionally snide, Tom! It's all a matter of personal preferrence. I don't imagine the photos did them much justice :D
