E Reg GTi 8v in White Free To Enthusiast.

Post by Tim Leech »

Car located near Reigate, been off the road a few years, small lhm return leak, alloy wheels, under 100k,

Good home sought, car free if its to be returned to the road, I wanted it myself but I need to spend the time and money on other things.

Not available to any one after a quick buck or break for parts as I am told its easily fixed.

Serious enquiries only, will need trailering away.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Tim, if its free it does not cost any money. Sorry that was a girlie argument for if you want something, isn't it?

It would be interesting but I really have my hands full at the moment. I would rather someone else go for it but I would not see it scrapped.

Hi there Tim.

Am really (no pun intended, implied or given) very very interested in this GTi. Always put the worst cars in the world back on the road, you've seen j414 cgh, which is constantly receiving new body parts.

Have several projects at the moment but will always take on another citroen to put back on the road.

Am definately not a quick buck merchant as would have given up on talulah years ago, but she is still running and my every day driver.

Pleeeeeeeessssssseee can I have the GTi :D :D :D

As we all know on a car like that which has been off the road for a number of years the initial cost is a small factor, towing it home, repairing the pipe (or a complete repipe which is advisable) and then tax, MOT, etc etc.

Plus it will have ABS and you can guarantee....

Well done really?, will it have the ABS? must be on the cusp unless all GTIs' had it. E plate makes it 87 to 88. Might be lucky and no ABS. Good luck with her.

I could be wrong, but I though ABS was an option on the earlier GTi's?

well done an excellent save, have recently saved an accident damaged 8v gti myself, very pleased with the final result, mine is a 90 (h) with jetronic and abs, and seems trouble free now after a fair bit of work, hopefully will get it mot'd and o/t/r in the next few weeks, currently only 20 odd gti 8v registered o/t/r in the uk, so a great spot by tim, and in white too, a personal favourite colour for the gti, had to settle for another ven red but to be fair the paint is pretty good. keep us posted on your save of the year.

These GTIs were so common a few years back, had one myself for 8 years.

Very nice cars- Now probably rarer than the 16V.
