I seem to remember from talking to Chris Salter that it needed a bit of welding in the boot, and maybe a little in the inner wings, but that it was generally sound. Looking at the pics I can see the back bumper is damaged (I wonder if it can be repaired?), it's missing a headlight (might have one, not sure) and the seats are worn (the fronts look like the bases have collapsed). It'll also need the full fluids and belts changing and spheres charging / changing. That's a minimum! On top of the purchase price I'm budgeting on £150 to get it home, and if the local landlord has space £25/month to store, although Ripley may go back in the barn once the welding's done and either this or the 4x4 come out onto the drive.

Might be worth a quick call to PTS Developments. They may know the car as it is literally on their doorstep. Even if hey haven't worked on it recently they may have done in the past. Not many other Citroen and BX specialists locally to Wokingham.

Well the bloke who ownes the barn space I rent closest to home says he rekons he's got space for 1 more in the building, so the bid's gone in!

Surprised there's not been more interest in the estate, although LHD may put people off.

If it has been a diesel estate there would have been a que I imagine, I have said to John that if noone steps up I will buy it....and find somewhere to put it!

I imagine it could make a great car for European trips - John Bradshaw has at least 1 LHD GSA for that very reason.
