I know it isnt a bx but
Does anyone know how the instrument pod comes out on an AX as linda`s needs a new cable and i cannot find anything on the AX club site as the robbing bugers have restricted everything unless you pay them £10 to be a member.

In that case I think its a case of steering wheel off, then column shroud. You can get to the two retaining bolts under that (plus one or two up top) and the whole thing comes out.
Shame, Mk1 is much easier.....you just sneeze at it

The Mk2 isnt hard, i recently did the speedo cable on one.
It involved removing the steering wheel and column shroud, then removing the 2 switches around the instrument binacle by simply pulling them out.
Then theres a few torx head screws to remove the speedo trim panel and a couple more screws to remove the actual speedo pod.
Dead easy! Enjoy cutting your hands to shreads doing the job! i did!
