Mulley's Valver

Kitch has kindly picked the car up & its residing at his gaff to get looked at on Monday in order to assess what needs doing. He's kindly going to be posting up some pictures that he took.

The car looks in worse nick than i originally thought which is a shame, but as long as the important bits are all ok, then i can work on the cosmetics, i'd rather have a car that looks a bit battered but drives spot on, than a gleaming turd, but hopefully one day she'll look good as well.

Well done Kitch/Mulley, I do feel there is a really good commerardry between us all these days, with the numbers dwindling and many vehicles facing certain death its great we are all pulling together and long may it continue.

I'm very jealous Mulley, I've promised myself another valver oneday, how do you fancy a swap drive in the Zx16v the next time I see you at a show to see how they compare, I haven't drove a Bx16v in years .

I look forward to it, and if you need any help cleaning/polishing just let me know, I've got a carpet and upholstery vac which will bring the interior up nice and I could always run my rotary polisher over the paintwork if required, I've got a selection of lotions and potions to get it gleaming. It's definitely looking like a good one in the crucial areas. The bodywork is pretty battered, in fairness, but in the places where it counts it's currently looking very promising

Engine runs sweetly, though there are a few idle issues and misfires to sort out. In fairness, the engine bay is a maze of random wiring modifications and missing bits, so it can only get better. But once it is running, it sounds pretty healthy.

I'll leave it to Mulley to fill you all in on the details. Congrats though mate, I'm glad someone got it!

It's in the hands of the master now. It certainly does look a solid example, Kitch is there a chance of a pic of all four 16v's together that you have residing with you.

I've just put the reg into a website & it identified this car as being the 147bhp model? I hope that isn't right, is there anyway of knowing which type of valver this one is? The website did list the 158bhp model seperately.

It's a 160, the lower power one in the catalysed cars which weren't b
uilt until 92.

That looks great, dont worry about a few dents and bits of missing trim, its a runner and isnt rotten! That door would be easily repaired as would the wing.
