2015: 25th Anniversary of the ZX. Somehow I can't see there being a stampede of ZX's to the 2015 CCC National, but my mind does go back to 2007 when about 60 BXs turned up for that 25th Anniversary.

I think I'll mark the ZX anniversary on the Challenge with some modest graphics on the car and a piece of editorial for the mag! I don't think there are any other ZXs earmarked for the event so Team Philibusters will have to fly the flag alone I guess.

The ZX is getting new discs and pads next week along with an oil/filter change and new BV oil for the 'box. A modest - and early start - in it's program of 'refinement/restoration'...

Spent a while with the ZX on ramps today, while Dennis fitted the new discs and pads. They're Bendix type. Thought they might've been the same as BX ones but they're not. Gearbox oil change has made an instant difference.

Found nothing to worry about for the time being. Must ensure the salt gets washed off regularly, although the sprayed on oil has done a pretty good job of getting into those hard-to reach areas.

So, what now? A 'main car' is needed. Still keen on the Rover 75/MG ZT-T diesel estate idea, but a good one'll be over £1,600, so might have to aim lower. I'd seriously like a Xantia TD estate (a 2.1 maybe) - or even a very nice ZX estate TD (although I have to say they are no looker!)...

Hi- as this is "ZX corner" - do you know if the Lucas fuel pump from a 1994 ZX xud 1.9 diesel is the same (and will fit) my 1992 BX diesel currently with Lucas/cav/ roto-diesel pump ?? Thanks

Can't remember if the '94 ZXs had the keypad immobiliser with the cover over the solenoid, but the basic pump will be compatible.

I don't think keypad immobilisers came in on the ZX before late 95?
