Ive seen that one before a couple of times, I remember the dented wing, think it was the one where the pump was dismantled?

That's a friend of mines car, it's giving him lots of troubles with LHM leaks and I believe he's planning on selling it over Christmas (or scrapping it if it's that bad!). Decent condition apart from the leaks though, not much rust (driver's door post is a bit flaky), TZD Turbo spec too so it's got all the toys!

NOOO dont scrap it, poor old thing has passed from pillar to post quite alot recently, if its a good solid car then LHM leaks are an easy fix!

Indeed to good to scrap. Leaks can be a nightmare if your not handy or without a lifting system. It is an expensive habit too. But if leaking is all it is then it can live again. Its near enough to me to be stashed for a bit if needs be. I found my garden is a bit bigger than I thought! Broke through passed Machu Pichu over the weekend and found the ditch marked on the map. So about another 500 sq ft, currently forested in scrub. That's lots of crap space! Anyone want a kids slide free, yep it was in the thicket.

I'd personally say it would need the majority of the front suspension hoses replacing, they're obviously all old and cracking/splitting/falling apart. I think my friend has just gotten fed up of constantly fixing the odd leak (which are happening more and more often) and wants rid as he doesn't have the time/money to replace the pipes himself. It's got MOT until next summer some time I believe, and the engine pulls nicely (it's much faster than my N/A diesel!). It's a bit scruffy in places, but mostly quite a solid car.

If anyone is interested in buying it off him then I'll happily pass on e-mail addresses so he can contact you whenever. I think he'll need to keep it for another 1-2 months though.

The last thing I need is another car, but I do have some space coming up so could store it for a while. And Hilary, if you end up using it to build a 16v estate, I may be tempted by the TD engine for a future project.

If you go up to Harry Bucklands in the top yard on the right as you go in is a 1.9TD Xsara, just the job for a BX conversion.

Matt, Here's the LINK to the previous forum thread for K49 AUD, its the one which had the Goodyear winter tyres fitted to it when last listed on E-BAY !

Good luck with it, if you secure this one !
