New Valeo Clutch... £32.50 delivered

Post by JayW »

Ordered this "motaquip" clutch for the Athena, turned out to be genuine NEW Valeo. Normally i chuck in what's cheapest so thought this might be of use to any of you fussy lot with the 200mm BE3.

Seemed cheap at £32.50 to the doorstep. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290753182397" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have zero patience for your tedium.

Good spot JayW. What type release bearing - Clip on for lever arm or the other for the ball pin fork?

The Valeo kit I got last year only had the Clip on type so had to buy separate release bearing as my BE3 boxes have the ball pin fork type on both my Athena's.

These are with the clip-on. Was a pleasant surprise to find it was Valeo when i opened up the Motaquip box!

I've still yet to work out Cits thinking on supplying cars with both types of clutch release over sporadic years. I keep forgetting they weren't BE1/BE3 dependant!

Yeah and my 14 with 150C was different!

Neat Autos had a suitable ball pin type release bearing btw for BE3 gearbox, if a slightly earlier pattern ie Citroen Visa.
