Re: 'The Estate'.............returns?
Ah yes the fun of non interchangeable seat belts because at some stage production of the items changed from France to Hungary I believe. Had this on my 1st 1.6 which failed MOT because of two spots of fluff (and I mean fluff no tears) on the seat belt. Had to go back to scrap yard and rescue belts - then had to return to get the clip/holder parts too after the old belts from the 1.4 would not fit into the 1.6 clip holders!. Will admit, it caught me out but somewhere in the assemblies I noted the Made in France and Made in Hungary difference which in fact translates to a different profile of the metal on the belt and consequently internally in the clip holder.

Re: 'The Estate'.............returns?
Finally found time to get some work done in the RD, another wash, a polish although it looked worse after, reblacked the sills and hoovered all the gravel and soil out if the boot, cleaned the engine bay, windows and dropped it off at work for new wishbone bushes.
The new wishbone I bought was the wrong one so we've rebushed the original. A spare new balljoint I had has also been attached as have new front discs and pads....the pads were so worn away I'm amazed I had any brakes and the discs are shot. Thankfully underneath there's no rot to speak off but it's dripping LHM slowly. Come Saturday it's off to Matt and Charlottes for storage and welding/clutch work.
When it returns it's off to the paint shop as I don't really like the two tone silver/masking tape look!

Made the 70 mile trip at motorway speeds with no issues.
Thanks to Sandre and Paul for their company/assistance in moving her.
I imagine the next entry may come from Mr Stinkwheel!

Nothing to report on this one, shes slumbering away at Chez Smith surrounded by other Citroens, I kinda miss it, tax and MOT are now out so its a case of waiting for the work to be done but we have 12 months to sort it

Re: 'The Estate'.............returns?
Shes doing very well Tim,
In as much as ive done nothing but move her about a bit and charged the battery once.
The work is planned to start next month and will be completed in a couple of weeks of starting ideally (assuming no real nasties come to light), but no worries, she can stay stored as long/short as you require once done.
