Those prices look good. I'll do some searching but I may go or one of those cross members, as I imagine Timex's is a bit bent, - the bumper sits a good 2" further back on the passenger side compared to the drivers!

I actually rang the E-bay/trader this morning to see if he stocked any XM parts but sadly none (other than the Orange front wing side repeaters which are identical to Xantia's) !

He still got one NOS BX MK2 front bumper which he'd listed 2-off recently (someone bought one of them) however the listing has ended now so he needs re-list it, but did state if someone desperate for one to get in touch with him !



However the items to watch out for is NOS radiators which hes had a few pallets loads in for various old/classic cars which he's not got around to unpacking as yet, as I did ask him about radiators for the 1.8 TD model in particular

Have bought stuff off him last year.

Reasonable fellow really though he may tell you he's 'closing down' will consider offers etc. Then when you get their claim ludicrous parts prices due to "that's what insurance companies pay" and I've had lots of ebay views (its like someone's liking his ebay posts on a forum where everyone then views the page..oh wait )

When I was there he also had a few xantia bits (nothing really interesting) and a new GS grill and I think ami sills. Numerous second hand bumpers inc a gti one, and doors like C15 etc. Can't remember owt else off top of my head. Oh I told him GS grill was rare but limited market so probs worth £20-30...he wasn't happy with my valuation!

oh he had 4 bumpers originally and that's the reason I went as he thought they were mk 1!! If anyone has a mk 1 bumpers...

GS grill may be worth more if it's a good un, but it depends on the type - there's at least 3 that I know of, more if you include GSA, and at least one was only used for a year.

It's the same old story with parts for rare cars (as opposed to rare parts for cars) - when there's only a few cars that use a part, it doesn't really matter how rare the part itself is as there's not really the demand.

Well I certainly can't fault his despatch time - it arrived the next day!

It's a pattern part, but a well made one, with just the odd piece of surface rust from storage. Only time will tell what the fit's like mind.
