Tentative..

Post by Stinkwheel »

Right folks.

We have 2 BX's that may be at the end of the line for us here. they are perfectly do able just i have a slightly shifted priority now.

We are keeping at least 2 (or 3) of our BX's though.

Right - L533 ex dollywobbler, ex geoff TZD estate. It runs and drives but needs a couple of jobs, a very viable car to fix and use. But im asking scrap money just due to being high miles and no tax or test - looking around 125 quid as thats what ive been offered in scrap. (if anyone can mention it to Geoff, i believe he has some thoughts on the car recently?)

second... K908. a 16Txi, rare injected BX. Needs an octopus and maybe a top end rebuild to stop the smoking, again scrap money - 120 ish? It also will run and drive, but then loose some LHM from the return leaks.

Ideally i want to move these within the next couple of weeks at the latest. They are much better than scrap cars but priorities have changed slightly.

Any interest or more info required, please drop me a PM.

Thanks

Thanks Tim,

id rather sell them to sympathetic parties than scrap, but things have changed a little and i need to sort some stuff.

As you know they are both perfectly saveable and good cars.

Indeed they are, the TZD estate is a BXC legend with huge miles and alot tidier on the body than some so I am sure it will find a home...

VERY Interested....
Although I've expressed interest in cs's car recently, I might be more interested in your TZD estate, then I could scrap my own, which is really NOT worth saving, but has lots of good parts on it, then I can offer some of those parts to other members !!

I think I am right in saying the 'Z' is the best interior spec, above the 'G', is that right ?

Where are you, abouts, Stinkwheel ?

Yes, complete everything !! - except for the front bumper.
- I did the head gasket not long before it went off the road due to the "road - hit".
- Suspension works, engine runs, it drives, etc, etc.
Seats are poor condition, bodywork is "used" and looks it too! - dings, paint spray, etc.

- But stinkwheel tells me I might not be the lucky recipient, so, depending upon seeing cs's estate, I might still be doing mine up after all !!

- Why do you call him IIRC ??

So she's done a few miles ...hey ho.
She's been round the block!
She's gone from one member to another, they all love her but she is trouble to them all and high maintenance....

.....She is so much like a woman who I know !!

Now I know why I need another car with a good engine !!!

Hello folks,
I'm pleased from my point of view to say that the estate L533 is now spoken for, going back to Geoff a previous owner.

16txi still available though :)

How 'Rare' is rare, and what exactly puts it apart from any other BX engine ?
