Re: CITROEN BX SPHERES
You've got a 16v in the picture there though...why would you put comfort spheres on it?
Even if you soften the spheres, it'll still be more jittery than a regular BX because of the anti-roll bars.

No bud, just some MK1s and a few MK 2 Estates. I will fit them to the TZD and possibly to A MK 1 TRD if things go well. Ile let you know.

Re: CITROEN BX SPHERES
If you want a smooth one, sell the 16v, regain pennies, buy cheaper more basic model. Spend surplus on comfort spheres, and the change on whatever takes your fancy!

I have comfort spheres on the front of the Tgs but I think I need to flush and clean the filters soon.

Re: CITROEN BX SPHERES
I would like to see some feedback on comfort spheres as I can't help thinking the ride was optimised as standard, because all Citroen had to do was drill out the damping hole and increase the pressure if they wanted to improve on it, so I can't see why it isn't optimised as standard. I suppose they might have considered handling and reviews and what was expected at the time and comfort spheres just make a BX more floaty like a DS. Personally I find the standard ride a good compromise but for motorway work or rough roads comfort spheres might be a good idea.

Re: CITROEN BX SPHERES
It depends on your view of optimum - we all prefer different points along the ride/handling compromise scale. I can't give a back to back comparison between comfort spheres and good condition standard spheres, as one of mine was flat when I changed. But I do prefer the extra floatiness, most of the time.adamskibx wrote:I can't help thinking the ride was optimised as standard

True but the different models had different ride qualities with sportier models having firmer ride. I swapped my TZD spheres to comfort spheres as I wanted optimum comfort rather than sporty handling i.e changing from TZD to TGD.
I wasn't sure there was anything wrong with my spheres but have owned the car for 4 years without touching them so decided to change them as a matter of routine. In reality I have noticed a slight improvement but her indoors who drives the car more often didn't appear to notice any difference and she does normally pick up on any changes. She went ape when I fitted wider tyres and ruined the ride.
