spotted today

Post by citronut »

i had a 2.0 TD BX come to visit me today,

nice to meat you Andy and you Lady friend

the owner Andy ( andycagabra ) on here reports several faults,

clacking on lock ( CV joints ) the O/S was fitted with cable ties, the N/S flapping around in the breeeeeez, not attached to the CV joint at all,

rear spheres fitted by some citroen specialist     #-o about 6 years ago, on doing the bounce test the rear end floats up and down like a soggy blancmange,
Andy says its been like that since the new spheres were fitted,

obviously the wrong spheres, and possibly accumulate spheres as they have absolutely no damping what so ever,

the N/S hub nut is missing the locking cap and R clip since the bunch he had fit the 2.0lt limp fitted it,

sounds like they are also responsible for fitting new CV gaiters whilst they had it in bits,

the O/S one is the correct gaiter ( GTI type with plastic bands ), the N/S one is just the standered BX gaiter ( not correct for a TD )

If it's an XUD, it could be from a 309, a ZX or an early Xzara.
