'87 BX 19 TRS Petrol Auto Estate -FREE!!!

Post by Keith Paulley »

Hi All

I put this car on the Forum last year, August ish, and despite a bit of interest it's still on a friends drive!
It's pale metallic blue, 80,000 miles, family owned from new with very little use in recent years. Has been SORN with no MOT since July of last year. It starts and lifts, the bodywork is scratched, the heater doesn't work, the back box needs replacing/welding and during the heavy rain it let water into the front footwell. It's located in Faversham Kent and if anyone is interested you can have it, FREE!!!
It's gotta go.....

Regards
Keith

Have tried, and failed, to load some images, will try again later.

My father had this car from new and I inherited it from him in 2006. I haven't used it much and the mileage is correct, old MOTs etc. I would like to see it survive hence the FREE bit! Obviously I could sell it for scrap or spares but I would rather give it away if it was salvageable, which of course it is if you're interested enough and have the time. It needs very little work for an MOT.
I've looked on 'How Many Left' and there's only a few still on the road, I'd like to see this join them!!!

I have viewed this BX estate for a mate of mine who has decided against it due to the distance involved in collection. If anybody needs any details about this car please feel free to PM me.

I cannot believe that a FREE BX has not yet been snapped up!!

I rather agree, but it is not free from range, I suppose. That said your not going to be paid to take it!

A few years ago that would already be on my drive and I would be tinkering and valeting like Mad, times change though and I did inherit another car yesterday so I think 8 is enough...

The 1.9 auto isnt great on fuel but by no means a gas guzzler and are a lovely lovely drive.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Distance is also the issue here. I had the Green Tiger delivered to me from Kent and it wasn't cheap. Shame as an auto is probably the only BX I'd like to own at the moment.

Keith's Blue BX petrol estate, E129 GEW, has come to live with me now, near to Cambridge.
It will be keeping Bluey company, which used to be owned by James just down the road, the guy with the nice shiney Red MkI BX !

Many many thanks to Keith for giving it to a loving home.
I will try to upload some pictures, then as and when it gets some attention, further pictures.
