My old one. Someone save it! I put a lot of love and time into that thing between 2002-10. I know one shouldn't get too sentimental about lumps of metal, but hey
I really don't want to let her go, have enjoyed every single drive. sadly I don't have the time, space or skills to save her. And with covering 500+ miles a week my time and money needs to be spent on diesels now.
hopefully someone who does will save her and make her better !
when putting the head back on one of the head bolts wasn't spaced and popped down onto the water pump housing. my own fault for rushing !

Ahh, it all makes sense
That's the only bolt that has a spacer, for that exact reason.
So ended at £500, not a bad price considering the work needed.
Winning bidder yet to contact so hopefully won't be messed around.
On another note just picked up a Volcane TD, one owner from new ! (Very happy) needs respray though but almost rust free been garaged and well looked after.
Wasn't he the bloke that got banned from here...? Or was that the bloke he was attempting to deal with? Or maybe they both got banned. I seem to recall some kind of prolonged argument in a thread about a valver being broken in Somerset.
Turns out the guy who bought it, literally bought it for the red strip across the rear bumper for another car! Had been looking for years apparently. He said the plan was to just have what he needed from it and then move it on again, but either the lure of lots of rare parts has proved too strong, or it's worse than the ad made out and no more than a spares car.
It was in ok condition when I had it. Yes the paintwork was a little tired, but not too bad, and it did need some welding when I passed it onto Vince Pepper, but I believe he got this done before then selling it to Patersom.
It certainly doesn't deserve to be broken. I hope someone will take it on complete.
