Fault finding intermittent wiper

Post by kiwi »

Never rains but it poors! Well thats a good way to say suddenly getting a few bugs.

Not sure if related to the last problem but since or coincidence the intermittent wipe function on the TXD has ceased functioning also affects the wash wipe. Water squirts just no wipe.

As coincidence would have it the same problem plagues the 19TRS as well. Any ideas since this seems to be a problem not limited to just one car.

I would suggest either the stalk/switch or relay, not uncommon for water ingress to play havoc on the fuseboard if your bulkhead is rusty under the rear screenwash reservoir. I have a good stalk/switch unit from a 92 tgd if you need one shipped over.

I posted this before there is no rust on these BXs not like you get in the UK due to a few factors like lack salt on the roads, being inland and high altitude for me. I have spare stalks and switches as well as few relays which I think I have tried before on the TRS without success.

This got me intrigued since its now 2 bxs experiencing same fault.
