I guess I'm guilty for going OT, although conversations do that in real life too. Sorry to continue, although I can split the thread if anyone wishes?

Kev, that's an impressive wood shed and I am suitably jealous! My 2050 was only from 1997 so relatively new although struggled a little pulling an 18" bar. A few months before it got pinched I had a lucky find on eBay - a Husky 346XPG advertised simply as 'Husqvarna Chainsaw'. Only used once, and the seller accepted my cheeky offer of the start price! Same capacity but noticeably more power 8) I thought the heated handles would be a gimmick but they help no end with hand circulation in the winter.

although I can split the thread

Is that related in any way to splitting hairs
but have to say I'm also impressed by everyone's efforts in heavy loads too..

One of the least spoken of merits when discussing the hydro suspension
Last week a friend needed 20 paving slabs - and the person doing the job for her didn't want to use his own car in case it got damaged by the excess weight ! I helped out of course because 'it's designed to carry heavy loads properly - one of the reasons I choose to drive it'. Unlike her friend's Volvo estate then

What a brilliant thread!

Hows about Windows?

Okay thats probably cheating because they are in a trailer.

Motorbike?

Working fish tank, running from a 230v inverter?

Couple of boats?

Image

My record for boats on the roof of the BX is actually 7 (with 4 kayakers in the car). It was partly accidental as we bought a boat on the way to a river. No picture unfortunately

The single biggest thing i've had in the boot is probably an 8'x4' 12mm marine ply board. Although 'in the boot' might be a stretch as 2' where sticking out the back i might add that this was off public highway and we where being lazy.

Heaviest thing i've dragged was a 3.5tonne trailer, on an air field, with the 1.9td engine. Got it up to 70mph though.

I always thought they were pods of 'Bodysnatchers'. So they are only canoes. I must tell David Ike. Impressive stuff. I am clearly getting old as my boot is not containing either quantity or variety it needs to. My chum reminds, how about a Church worth of soft wood parquet floor blocks. Not heavy as such but very little room left other than driving space. The stinger is I never used them and they sit in a shed on two pallets.
