Hi, and welcome,

If your DTR is a Turbo, then the engine is an XUD7TE, otherwise it's an XUD7. As far as I know, all XUD7 & XUD9 variants use the same belt. It may be worth looking for a belt for a C15 or early Berlingo with an XUD engine, as sometimes the parts are cheaper, even though they're identical!

If you plan on having a go yourself, it's worth getting the Haynes book for the Citroen Diesel engine (the BX book only covers petrol engines) - it's pretty good as Haynes books go.

Just got myself a BX 17DTR. I will be asking questions! The first one is does the steering rack stiffen up with lack of use? When stationary or at low speeds the steering is really heavy like there is now PAS Advice please!
17DTR then it may not have power steering I'm afraid.

It's worth checking, it was an option on a lot of the hatchbacks until late on.

Have a look under the bonnet bud, soon see if you have power steering or not.
