Oxfordshire Scrap BX 1.9 Diesel hatch
A sad white BX 1.9 Diesel hatch is residing in the Haynes of Challow, Wantage, yard. So far its had the front struts and dash bits removed. Reddish tartan sort of interior on later seats. Might be worth knowing to someone in the area. There are at least two Pug 504 Estates in too.

it wouldn't be the same as this by any chance would it? That's what is in my Tgs auto. I need a back seat cushion, drivers seat cushion and door cards.
Cheers.

Oh dear. If there is nothing similar to that, yes it is. Currently a full set. I think the drivers seat might be worn. The car is only just over 100k miles done. Seems a bit of a waste but then something nasty might have gone. Junky Haynes prices are normally reasonable.
Sunroof and lining there, someone wanted one of those.
If it were up in the air, or upside down, I might have attacked the hydraulics for spares.

Hi, I used to live in Wantage and remember getting a nice stainless rear Dyane bumper for little money. Removed it myself. Do they still allow you to do that?

Re: Oxfordshire Scrap BX 1.9 Diesel hatch
Haynes is not what it was when Burt ran it, but it is still a local institution. You can get all sorts of crap, furniture, building stuff, bankrupt stock, clearance shit, tools and hardware. We got several 5 inch Peel wheels out of there a few months ago, rare. The cars are not stacked unless crash mangled or mined out. He has to turn them over faster, as the clipboards make him. But yet some stuff lingers, a Dayne in the corner, for instance. He rarely sells a complete car but I have had a few classics of him. It is a case of asking Rodney the price of what you want, having found it. Or risk your work taking it off only to disagree on price. He can be as blunt as any scrappy.
It gets very mucky after rain and in the middle is dark viscous pond where people have vanished without trace - well not quite but its a bugger when the car you want is parked in a puddle. Normally he is not dear, though I am known there, which helps. I used to run my cars out of that yard years ago, when cars used to be standard and all came apart without silly numbers of differing tools. Not many yards like this left now.

Been back. Yes it is. Back seat has now got a tear in it. Little more been removed though. It has tinted rear lights.demag wrote:http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/20/upy8u2yg.jpg

What sort of state are the 504's in? might have to pop down for a gander if these anything salvageable.

Re: Oxfordshire Scrap BX 1.9 Diesel hatch
One fresh, two look like they have had a spell of no use. On is actually going green. All 1.9 diesels. I did not do an exhaustive search so might be more XUD in. Pretty complete and three chances. Really I ought to be there pulling off alternators and stuff but I really cannot be bothered anymore.
