   Mine`s free at the moment because she lives 250 odd miles away but as she (and my dad) are moving to Sleepy`s town shortly that may change.

I bought my 19trs by private sale in 1993 for about £2100 and I've had it ever since. I bought a 19trs auto from eBay for about £32 which has near mint bodywork and had a leaking octopus and a few other minor faults. On the whole I've been fairly lucky with eBay --- I tend to avoid sellers who use overloaded postage

Tim the very best was the 19TZS auto! £25 was the bargain of the century for that car.

Is it bitter?

My Ebay BX cost £365 came with alloys and leather interior and a totally shot engine in the boot! Sold the engine for £200 so effectively bought 17" Adikt High alloys and leather interior and a mint body shell for £165!!

I reckon that over the last three years, not including tax/MOT/insurance/Fuel its probably cost me in the region of £3000 though faults of 'assistants' and a rusted front transmission. However its taken me all over the country (be it collecting parts or just for fun) and has introduced me to a hell of a lot of brilliant people, i wouldn't want it any other way IMHO. And no im NOT gonna add up the receipts, i dont want to cry!

1 BX from eBay - £100, pointed out by Ken on this forum (Thanks!) and A-framed back from deepest Swanage by David R (again thanks!) - have spent a fair bit on things like rear arm bearings... but goes really well!

1 BX bought off the side of the road - £200, with absolutely no history and high mileage. Had lots of stuff done: cambelt, recon front calipers, etc. etc. then expired after around a year's good service with a blown headgasket due to not getting round to replacing leaking rad. In garage at my mum's under a suspended sentence :/

1 maroon LHD BX Mk1 bought 50/50 with a friend - £200-250 (can't remember). Bought off a Citroen specialist in Swindon. Super, super car. Goes far better than it looks from the outside. I love driving it! Although looks far better now it's been through about 3 T-cuts and polishes. Slightly let down by Italian dents and scratches and an ill-fitting blue bonnet.

Mark.

I seemed to have owned a few when I look back and I`ve realised I`d forgotten to mention the lovely black GTi auto I bought from Philip, now owned by Ian Fearn. What a beauty that was & it`s condition was a credit to Philip.
I`ve also just bought another GTi auto (getting collected this weekend) and one of my current fleet MIGHT be going soon.

Latest 16v bought from Ebay, option 1.

Always been carefull and viewed every car. People's descriptions can tend to be very flattering of their "pride and joy"

Got my 16v from advert on BX16v.com forum.

Got the silver 19RD estate from Citroenz forum

And recently picked up the 19GT off ebay.....the rear arm bearings were fwadged, but theres blatantly a very sound car under it all. So sound that my girlfriend and her mate form uni are using it to drive to the Isle of Wight today
