Hi everyone,
would anyone happen to know where are 4x4 difflock indication light and heatplug light in 4x4 diesel?
I have veglia instrument panels from 4x4 and from TZD and mentioned indication lights share the same spot.

I thought all 4x4s were petrol jobbies?

4x4 had these motors:
D2E, D2F (XU9C+) 1.9l carburettor
D6E, D6D (XU9J2) 1.9l injection (GTi)
D9B (XUD9A) 1.9l diesel
At least my manuals say so.

All *UK* 4x4s were petrols, and I have a feeling that the 4x4 warning light position is shared with the glowplug light position!

Yes, that is exactly what I see when comparing TZD and 4x4 GTi dashboards.

Re: BX diesel 4x4 instrument panel lights locations
On the petrol 4x4's (the "normal" ones), the diff lock light is where the glow plug light goes on a diesel.
On the diesel, as none were 4x4 to start with lots of them don't have one. However I got a rev counter from a TD & the diff lock light is on the bottom left of that, where the "K" light or choke light goes.
But getting the correct symbol on the instrument panel is only half the battle. The wiring is then different for both positions. On the petrols, where the diff lock is in the speedo, it has a constant neutral. The transfer box & connecting relays cut the live feed so the light goes off when its disengaged.
But on the rev counter side, it has a constant live & the neutral is supposed to be cut.
The diff lock light wires come in to the car just behind the right front wing/ behind the dash just above your feet in a 2 pin red connector & it works by cutting the live only.
The way I got around this was to get a warning light off a ABS car, (the actual light that goes in to the back of the ABS symbol) with the connecting wire. & then plug this in to the red connector.
Hope that helps.

Re: BX diesel 4x4 instrument panel lights locations
You, sir, are absolutely correct! When you have mentioned it, I have checked another TZD instrument panel. It has 4x4 light in place of ECU/choke light at bottom left of tachometer and heat-plug light at the bottom left of speedometer.
Wiring part does not scare me as long as there are all required lights to wire.
