Metal or Plastic Bonnet

Post by kiwi »

Bonnet Question

The Bonnet of the TXD is starting to lose its lacquer and flaking making it look horrid. So while I await it being painted I am considering putting the non metal on.

What differance if any to noise insulation? Then again good idea or not?

Only thing I noticed between the two was the radiator trim, air flow was different. That's on near identical 1.6s one with plastic and one metal bonnet!.

My TZD is metal, a mates is plastic. Dont know of any difference in how they sound. Both wil fit ok, not worth worrying about.

What Andy says, the plastic one is a lot lighter too.
