Aaron, with huge respect and appreciating what you`ve said and how much the car means to you I`d personally eBay it.
Not everyone on there is an idiot or the type who will wreck it within weeks and also, I`m afraid to say, I don`t believe there is any room for sentiment over money. I mean no offence by that at all, as I say I know what the car means to you but I`d suggest that getting the right price is the main thing.
I`ve owned a few cars which have meant everything to me (including my Merc) but when the time comes for even that to go then anyone`s money is ok with me.
I`d love it to go to an enthusiast and not some Jack-the-lad who`ll cover it in cheap tacky bodykits, stupid bloody spoilers and neon lights but if the money is right then frankly I won`t lose any sleep over it. I realise this might make me sound harsh and even materialistic but in my own personal circumstances my monetary needs are greater than my sentimental ones.
That`s probably why I don`t especially get attached to cars nowadays and sometimes it`s a bloody good thing.
eBay it, put a decent reserve and include as many pic`s as possible. Good pictures and good words make all the difference and your obvious enthusiasm and the quality of the car will shine through and almost certainly attract the `right kind` of buyer.
