Things have changed, some cars must go....

Post by Stinkwheel »

Basically in a nutshell, we are changing our lifestyle a bit, so some of the projects MUST go, now that means they get sold here or they get scrapped if no takers. I am sorry for being so blunt, but this is the situation im in.

So...

L reg BX TZD estate many miles and a few little jobs needs doing (octopus ideally and a regulator rebuild, maybe a clutch. The car has lots of good aspects, little rust, lots of new pipework etc.

K reg BX 16TXI needs octopus also and probably valve stem seals and a going over.

Im asking slightly more than scrap money but less than I feel they are worth.

XM no longer for sale, Charlotte put me in my place ;)
Any takers please get in touch.

I'd post the details of the XM onto the XM forum as well Matt, or I can copy and paste this for you if you prefer. I hope the lifestyle change isn't being forced upon you for negative reasons and all the best with the change. :)

Thanks Mark :) yep, I did a quick copy and past.

The changes we are imposing upon ourselves to try and free up a little more time and money to ejoy life more with rather than chasing round in circles basically :)

Unfortunately it does mean there is no reprieve if no one buys them (im not making anyone feel guilty) it cannot continue the way we are with many cars in storage we don't need. Id rather dump the cars and loose the bills and associated headaches.

It has to be said low overheads make for an easier life. Trouble is generating enough cash to own enough area to store stuff seems to be an ever receding horizon, when property prices rise, and planning law changes. You find you cannot win, unless you get lucky. Got to enjoy life, so what has to be....as long as you keep the faith.

Mr Tinkley, its not too rusty at all. Its more the mechanicals that want a bit of tinkering. If you are interested, I can tell you it could be transported for a lot less than you think, ive used Shipley a few times and I expect you will be quoted about 120-160 to shift it. (and because of that I would be happy to be generous on the price if your saving the car)

That's it exactly, strike right balance between ownership and useability. that's the plan anyway.
