If I wasn't trying to budget, I'd happily buy this to restore. A Black Mk1, it's gawgeous, like a french version of the Knight Rider car. I only live in Telford too, it's like my heart's trying to test me

Dosnt work that way bud as there is 'restore and restore'. A quick job or a proper job and doing a proper job would be too expensive. Its bound to have some issues due to its age, they all have. If its not bodywork, it will be mechanicals.Certainly it will need a repipe if its not been done before as the pipes will almost certainly be rotten. Mollie looked damned good bodily but but most other things let her down due to her age.
I think more piccies of the rest of the motor would certainly help it sell. The fact that its an old and rare MK 1 i dont think is enough. I think a potential buyer needs to know roughly what the potential costs might be. I wouldnt pay 500 quid on an unknown condition motor [well, maybe a Bugatti]. Over to the seller!!

If this is still for sale by the copy deadline, I'll mention it in the March Citroenian BX column - it really needs to find a good home.
