1993 GTI, looks to be in great condition, except alloys missing - £1250 in Exeter

That's an 8v so wouldn't necessarily had alloys to start with. (I have a new set of correct trims here: available at the right price ;) )...

Didn't realise the 8v ever had a cat. Live and learn!

The last run of GTI used the DKZ engine which I believe was shared with the similarly aged TZi with Bosch Motronic M1.3 Injection system and Cat.

The dedicated D6D engine for the Phase2 GTI was fitted from July 1990 with Bosch Motronic 3.1 Injection having a MAP sensor rather than the airflow meter and NO Cat. (Also NO distributor)

The first run of GTi used the D6A engine fitted with Bosch Jetronic Injection.

I have driven all three variants of BXGTI engine. The Jetronic felt most lively, followed by the almost equally good D6D.

The DKZ with cat felt tame by comparison.

It might be clever now, but it won't be in the morning!
