Wanted for my valver

At the back of the engine bay, there are a couple of brackets which hold one of the pipes which is clearly visible behind the top of the engine, the right hand one is missing. The pipe has a rubber moulding around it at both those points, hope i've described it ok? A piccy says a thousand words I may have to post up one so peeps undersand my rantings.

Need to get hold of a driver side front speaker grille, mines missing, also need to get all the screws which will make the speakers stay put (both sides), they're all missing as well, not sure if anyone can help out on here?

Rear view mirror needs replacing, mine has some annoying chips in it, its useable but looks shite, anyone got a spare?

Psgr wing mirror glass is the wrong type, so it makes the mirror useless as its blind spot is similar to the turning circle of the cunard ship, weird, anyone got a spare lying about gathering moss?

Not sure how many bolts the alternator needs to hold it onto the bracket, looks like 2? I've got the fatter big one, the smaller one is missing, anyone got a spare one lying about, the car is imobile without a working alternator

And now for the elusive bit, does anyone have the afm part on a valver that they would like to part with? I need to get Barry to diagnose that it is the part on mine which is knackered (hence the high idle), so just putting out the feelers incase i need one.

Sounds decidedly like you need to come a visit my stockpile of parts, I'm pretty sure I have all of what your asking for (except the AFM).

The screw is wound all the way in & its revving to 2000rpm, slacken it off & the revs rise even more I believe its a mechanical bimetal strip style device, no idea if anyone can fix them or not?

I think I've got all those parts too, including some AFMs.

Vanny is probably a bit closer to you, but I can post stuff.

worth checking if the springs on the throttle body are still intact - one of them on my 16v has lost it's spring and as a result won't quite fully close the flaps at idle resulting in a high idle.. not as high as yours though but I think it's a fairly common problem judging my the 205 forums

Air leaks pre airflow meter is the biggest cause of high idle, not sure on the 16v but the 8v have a mixture adjustment on the afm hidden under a plastic bung, is it the door or dash top speaker grille you need? Cant remember if i stripped them out the tgd, will have a look this w/e.

Think you mean post AFM Pre AFM is erm the air filter.
But yes any air leak after the AFM is fatal o any idle control.

Luke's kindly given me a guide on AFM's & what can go wrong with them along with a how to repair it guide, many thanks, i guess once its been diagnosed that this is the problem part, then i'll be on the hunt for a good working one & then i can repair this one & keep one as a spare for the future
