BX 1.9GTi 8v 1989

Post by monkeyfeet »

Hi all. I really do need to clear my driveway this time. (Teenage offspring requiring parking space) so the BX has to go. If I had the time I'd have it on the road by now, as is often pointed out by the nearest & dearest....
It's all there, GTi bits present and correct so I think it would be a huge shame to go for scrap. Someone come round and just give me the scrap value and I'll be more than happy. Haven't started or checked for hydraulic leaks for some time but all was ok then.
I'd like to see my spares go to use too: Headlights/ rear lights, exhaust, hp pump & res, tow bar, roof rack etc. Some beer money?

Go for it my friend. The engine will undoubtedly run more smoothly than your present GTi.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

I agree completely! Even today they're good looking cars I think.
I've got the wheel trims & spares in the boot, maybe time to get them on for some photos.
I quite like the darker grey over the silver though.....

Do you know, those wheel trims actually look rather good, don't they? I guess most GTis now run on alloys now.

Well, looking over the photos the steel wheels could be impoved upon. They were quite practical though. What could be good would be some deep "dished" semi low profile steels, wider rubber but without the it's nearly flat look. But is that a bit too old school?

BX now sold. I'm sad, but at least it's gone to an enthusiast / collector. Thanks for all your interest.
Best get round to sorting out my spares to list now......
