17TGD HATCH, FREE TO GOOD HOME

Post by Tim Leech »

As per advert, has done 200k, is moted until Sept, runs and drives well but may need some spheres

Paint on roof is tatty (Grey metallic)

Elderly Gent owner since 2000

Selling due to ill health

Will part with it free to an enthusiast who will cherish it NOT break it or sell on.

Car located in Solihull.

I have personally agreed to take it off his hands if no one steps forward but I don't really want another

I do mate! 9 cars is too many but I promised him I wouldn't allow it to be scrapped so who knows!

As long as people are realistic that although its a free car it will need money and time spending on it.

Being a 17TGD its not the most desirable model but could be a cheap happy runner.

Great, thanks Tim. Be shame to see it broken, have been keeping my drive free for the next 16v to come up for sale but doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon.

No worries, sadly the owner has gone blind and is clearly very sad to part with it. As long as it gets some love that's fine by me.

Should the first offer of a home fall through please let me know, my DTR is off for major restoration work at the end of September so I'm looking for something else BX shaped.

Its certainly no show winner, the body and interior are gone. No rust just really tatty.

Engine bay is clean, not a drop of an oil leak anywhere.

Hopefully his son/grandchildren will give it a loving home but that's doubtful to be honest.
