BX GT for restoration, runs and rises, £380 (Kent)

Post by djoptix »

Yes, a real GT! Looks like an involved but worthwhile resto. Posted on the Facebook BX Club UK page.

It wont. Thats the price i want, if someone will pay me 350 to save it then i will sell it. But i need 350, i can get over 400 from breaking, the private messages i had on facebook proves that, but i dont want to see it stripped. I would also hold the car for up to a month for a decent deposit. Im not being unfair lol

Seems fair to me. One needs to be realistic about these things! Be a shame to see it broken but the fact is that if nobody will take it on to restore, what else is going to happen to it...

Sad to see this will end up being broken. It's almost the same as mine, albeit with a blue rather than grey interior and with a stripe. Hopefully it can serve to keep other GT's going though, as some specific bits are very difficult to find.

Breaking it will be pointless. There's not enough of these left to mean people will want parts, well it as one piece to stand a chance of getting your money back.

A guy bought a pilot to break recently and ended up selling nothing except the rolling shell for £50!

Scrap currently is an all time low.

Stick it on car and classic for free.

And thats no to mention the countless number of messages i have had via facebook for parts. No one wants to pay 350 for it. So in parts it goes im afraid!

Tim is right, you greedy git. It's not like you tried very hard to sell it complete either.

It wasn't advertised very long chap as a project but it's your car to do with as you wish, I still think it could have easily been sold as a project to someone given more time, it's still a shame to see Mk1's being broken up, guess it makes the ones left rarer and possibly more valuable!

I couldnt care less now im afraid. I needed some money in. The bx was last in and first out, few people on here are buying from me so its a bit hypocritical having a cry about it.

Your car to do with as you wish, but this is an enthusiasts site so breaking a very rare model just for the money isn't going to win you any friends.

That's one less GT on the road so minus just gone up another £100 then!
