Speedo has packed up!!!

Post by Adam »

Hi there, just looking for some info, i'm currently bidding and winning the Black TZD on Ebay, just checked and the seller has said the sppeedo went right round and back and is now not working, is this just a cable change or are there other possible causes? I hope I win it!!!!! :D

The cable is in 2 sections with a join just above the gearbox. The long sections goes from this joint, through the bulkhead to the speedo. This part has probably snapped. Even if its the speedo head its not the end of the world as someone on here could sort you out with a S/H one. Good look with the bidding!

Is it a big job to change the cable? Mine jumps all over the place, Ken very kindly changed the last one for me but as hes no longer around I may have to do it myself!

Never had the pleasure but I would imagine the speedo binicle has to come out along with the tray in the top of the dash and the glovebox. Then double jointed arms/fingers would help
