Thanks for those ideas, but I had to order it on Wednesday, and they don't take returns. He did mention it was the only part of its kind which is still supplied, so the Xantia brake pipe solution might be good for the other pipe which has a coil next to this one. it is 4.5 mm by the way

It's easy enough to make those pipes if you have the flaring tool - I invested in the heavy duty one as I have various Cits which use the same kind of pipes. Or Pleiades will presumably be able to do it for you.
