Icccr 2016!

Post by Tim Leech »

I'm up for it! But will probably go via the Eurostar and drive up through Belgium as I don't fancy 9 hours on a ferry and chucking £600 for the pleasure.

Plus it will be more scenic and I don't have good sea legs!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

It's actually a very nice part of Holland around Arnhem and NOT completely flat. I highly recommend the beautifully landscaped Kroller Muller art museum to anyone going. Must say I'd love to go IF finances were sufficient, we shall see.

Well, never say never but we might be in Portugal with the BX tucked up in its garage... :/

I've still not committed myself to the idea of going yet, but if I do I'll travel Hull to Rotterdam.

Anyone else going to this? We are intending to, although I've not booked anything yet... Some may say it defeats the point of a rally like this but we may camp elsewhere to ensure better facilities.

I booked myself a ferry home 18th aug (from Germany). Do you guys have anything going on the week(end) before ICCCCCCCR? I don't know yet where to go, the week(end) before that I'm probably at the 2CV (inter)nationals in Germany. Any suggestions welcome, would like to visit your island again after the last ICCCCR. I'm sure to travel with my BX Van again, just not sure which one of them yet!

So, looking at the thread only seems like a handful of us going but if you do come and say hello to Laura and I with the slightly scruffy, grey, J-reg GTi. We are actually camping about 10 minutes away at Laag-Soeren on the edge of the Veluwe national park.

See you!

With losing Mum last year I'm now my Dad's carer, so a week away is sadly out of the question nowadays, maybe I'll be at the next ICCCR in 2019(?). Hope everyone who is attending has a wonderful time. Please post some pics when you get back. :)
