Ok, so the advert's a bit shit and the photos are cack. And surely a pair of used rear lamps wouldn't cost so much that there was no point fitting them before taking some pics.

But....look at the carpet, panel gaps etc. And low mileage. I reckon that could be a gem underneath. Probably just a bust return hose holding it up for the MoT.

It should be a TU engine at that age?
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Depends when in '88. My old April '88 reg one was a 150C but around August to October the TU replaced it. Will depend how long it sat in dealers etc etc. In fact I would not be too surprised to even find an '89 with a 150C but also worth remembering Citroen were really shifting BXs' then, maybe 1000 a week... :wink:
So if it is on an F plate you have a better than even chance it is a TU..

The piping is probably the zinc coated and not the black stuff. Bet it is an Octopus, little Octopus, or low pressure return - rear height corrector? or something similar. I note the 'hatred' of BX is not unique to the South... :wink:

Good spot Kitch, definitely fixable for a few hundred and could be a very good car.
