Hello all, I'm still getting high revs sometimes as much as 3000 rpm
got to sort this out can anyone give me a clue to fix.
I have changed the idle control valve also
the flow meter still the same.
thanks.
Is this all the time or on cold start or intermittent?

I get this on my valver too, when it's hot. Think it's a sticky throttle position sensor/switch. A quick blap on the pedal gets the revs to settle down.
Minor adjustment may be needed to the throttle cable stop to ensure that the throttle position switch is activating (you can hear a click if you listen closely when activating it by hand), also consider removing, cleaning, and lubricating the throttle butterfly etc.
Air leak between throttle body and airflow meter, check hoses for cracks and breathers are all tight, with engine running on slow idle spray carb cleaner around the hoses/intake/breathers etc when revs go up you have found your leak.

Try ignitioncarparts.co.uk. They were significantly cheaper for the 480's TPS. Also, before you replace, try setting it up correctly. Can someone elaborate on if the BX system TPS setup procedure?
Having set up a 480's years ago, it was just loosening two nuts and rotating until set right (click when throttle closed) then locking off the nuts and verifying the other switch (inside TPS) worked at full throttle.

Don't go throwing money at a new switch just yet. The switch may well be working fine - but failing to activate because the acc cable is too tight. The fact that your revs settle down after a while implies that it does work, but perhaps doesn't get activated as often as it should. It's quite a fine adjustment to get the right balance between it activating on the one hand, or on the other hand having such a slack cable that your acceleration response becomes poor.
Be methodical, go through all the advice about air leaks as well, the switch could be a total red herring.
Its unlikely the the TPS as this only tells the ECU if throttle is closed or wide open, the potentiometer on the airflow meter dials in the mixture controls etc. I would be more inclined by an air leak pre throttle body, bear in mind most of the rubber pipes will be 25 odd years old and do crack/perish, you only need the smallest leak to upset idle and cold starts.
