Roof

Had a sneaky play with the bx last night as the mrs went out and whilst doing little bits and bobs i thought id get the sunroof operating. I got it goung back and forward no problem. However the up and down movement has an issue. It catches on the rear edge of the roof panel aperture.
Is there some adjustment?
I also noticed that the front edge has a little corrosion on the roof panel itself. I can cut out and replace this section, ive welded worse areas on other cars! But im wondering whats involved in removing the complete roof panel as it has the plastic edges and if any one has done it as this would make a better job.

The Sunroof cassette does not come off with the roof panel as it is part of the roof lining, it might be easier to remove the complete roof lining / sunroof cassette which all comes out as one unit through the back hatch and is quite easy to do then weld the roof section whilst in situ?

Hi. Yeah. Thats the plan. Im just wondering how easy the roof panel is to replace as a whole? I plan to get the car on the road and worry aboit the roof over the winter. Its started with a couple of hydraic leaks to give me more jobs to do. One looks like a pipe seal and the other is the main feed to pump leaking at the joint.

The plastic strips are bonded on and are pigs to remove without breaking, you are welcome to cut the section out the breaker, headlining is out which makes it a lot easier, sunroof edges seem ok but a little surface rust.
