Hi all
Quite a strange one this... When cornering to the left at medium or high speeds, for example going round a roundabout, the engine splutters and coughs, before immediately ceasing to misfire as you straighten up. It only occurs when you have your foot on the gas and have got a bit of a lean on. I haven't experienced the problem turning at slow speeds or during gently sweeping high speed turns. It doesn't happen at all whilst turning to the right.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Low oil level/pressure.
Edit: Left round roundabouts? You're nnot in the UK then?

OIL pressure?JayW wrote:Low oil level/pressure.
Sounds like a worn electrical connector to me. Something tugging at it which you turn in that direction. I'd go over all the connectors like the AFM and TPS and see what you can spot. Unlikely to be fuel related on an EFI car, unless you've got something blocking the pickup in the tank.

Cheers Kitch, will check that out.
And good point Jay, I should have said 'whilst exiting a roundabout'!

Re: Valver misfire whilst turning left
It's my understanding that one of the Valver ECU's shuts down on low level & pressure. I don't know which as I've never run mine low enough to find out.Kitch wrote:OIL pressure?JayW wrote:Low oil level/pressure.
.
Alternatively, it could just be the muffler bearings.

Re: Valver misfire whilst turning left
I have EXACTLY the same thing, albeit in a diesel 309 and when turning right rather than left... this is very little help to you, but know that I share your frustration in trying to work it out!tomwyllys wrote:Hi all
